If you are still thinking of what to do this weekend… Iconsiam has a perfect evening planned for you at its spectacular Riverside Park, which has been converted into a summer kite playground for you to fly kites with friends and family; or to just sit back relax and watch others fly, simultaneously enjoying the cool breeze from the Chayophraya River together with the spectacular scenery at Iconsiam’s iconic riverside space.
The Iconsiam Summer Kite Playground is open to all every Friday to Sunday evening between 4pm to 8pm, until April 18. Being out in the open with ample space… seems to be the perfect safe option for an active outing, with your face masks in place, of course! A great enjoyable activity for both kids and adults of all age groups.
Spectacular shows featuring inflatable kites in various shapes and sizes including shapes such as a whale, a unicorn, a sea horse as well as stack kites with up to as much as 150 kites in a row! Also featuring quad-line sport kites and dual-line sport kites.
A professional team called Thaitan that won first place at the 5th Uiseong International Kite Festival in South Korea will be flying the kites together with a number of kite-flying experts like Theera Petchkaew – a famous flyer of both quad-line and dual-line stunt kites; Chalermpol Suksawat – a flyer of stunt-kites; and Noppadol Kongsuwan – dual-line stunt kites flyer. Be there to witness the amazing show showcased by the experts.
A variety of kites like fish kites, eagle kites, snake kites and Thai kites will be available for sale including octopus kites made of ripstop nylon fabric from New Zealand.
A number of kite-flying experts will be present to offer guidance so everybody can enjoy flying their own kites high above in the beautiful sky of Bangkok’s iconic Chaophraya River at Iconsiam.
Whoever spends 300 baht within Iconsiam will be entitled to join a kite-designing workshop for free! Just remember to keep you bill receipt and not throw it away.
