New appointment at ITB: Deborah Rothe takes over as head of ITB Berlin

Deborah Rothe follows in the footsteps of David Ruetz as exhibition director of ITB Berlin, the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. In December 2022, Ruetz became senior vice president of Travel + Logistics at Messe Berlin, in which role he oversees the ILA Berlin Airshow as well as the global ITB brand family, along with its strategic development.

A Magical Performance of Traditional Indian Music and Dance – Witnessed in Bangkok!

On a beautiful evening, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Bangkok, hosted an unforgettable evening of Indian classical music and dance. The event featured renowned Sarod Maestro, Mr. Arnab Bhattacharya, and Noted Tabla Artist, Mr. Nilimesh Chakraborty, who thrilled the audience with their musical talent. The performance was followed by a Kathak Dance Drama & Jugalbandi by Guru Murali Mohan Kalvakalva, a senior Kathak Artist.

Chulalongkorn University hosted World Hindi Day on January 21, 2023

Chulalongkorn University hosted World Hindi Day (Vishwa Hindi Diwas) on January 21, 2023. The event was organised to promote awareness about the Hindi language and Indian culture. It was an occasion to recognize the contributions of the Indian language “Hindi” to the cultural and economic diversity of the world. Indian Ambassador and prominent figures from the Indian diaspora and aimed to foster cultural exchange and strengthen the bond between India and the Hindi-speaking community. During the event, a range of activities were organised, including poetry readings, cultural programs & speech contests.

 

The event was attended by many prominent figures from the local Hindi-speaking community, including businessmen, school-aged students, and members of the government. The guests were enthusiastic and eager to learn more about Hindi culture and Hindi language. The event was a huge success and has inspired the local community to continue to promote the use of Hindi in Thailand.
